🎓 Faculty Guidelines
General Guidelines
- The Creative Space is dedicated to creative projects, research, and fabrication.
- Faculty walk-ins are welcome for individual creative work, prototyping, and exploration.
- Faculty use of equipment requires prior reservation; walk-ins may use the equipment only if no other reservation is scheduled.
- Students have priority in this space – thus, if a faculty and student walk-in at the same time, the student will have priority to use available equipment.
- Specialized equipment may require a brief orientation before independent use.
- Faculty should meet with the Creative Space Supervisor to log on to their visit upon arrival.
- No food; drinks allowed only in closed containers.
1. Reservation Procedure
- Faculty may reserve: Equipment and/or computers for personal research or project work OR The entire space for workshops or class sessions.
- Reservations for the entire space must be made at least two weeks prior to the desired date.
- Contact the Creative Space supervisor to reserve the entire space.
2. General Conduct
- Respect the space and other users.
- Clean your area before leaving.
- Return tools and chairs to their original place.
- Report issues immediately to the supervisor.
- Keep cables and materials organized to prevent tripping or damage.
3. 3D Printing Guidelines
- All 3D print work requires booking prior to work.
- Individuals seeking to perform 3D printing must first pass through a training session with the Creative Space Supervisor.
- All 3D prints must be cleared through the Creative Space supervisor before printing begins.
- All materials must be purchased through the creative space or approved for use by the creative space supervisor.
4. 3D Scanning Guidelines
- All 3d scanning requires prior booking.
- Individuals seeking to perform 3D scanning must first pass through a training session with the Creative Space Supervisor.
5. Workstations
- Workstations require booking; advance booking is recommended but may also be done on arrival if there are free workstations.
- Use headphones for audio tasks.
6. Embroidery and Sewing Machine Guidelines
- All embroidery and/or sewing machine work requires prior to booking.
- Individuals seeking to use the embroidery and/or sewing machines must first pass through a training session with the Creative Space Supervisor.
- Long sleeves must be secure, rolled, or fitted.
- Keep hair tied back to prevent personal harm.
- Report broken or missing tools immediately.

The Creative Space is not a space for general study – it is a space for active, creative pursuits!
1. Not Allowed in the Lab
- No studying or unrelated homework.
- No group study sessions.
- No sitting without purpose.
- No food.
- Drinks are allowed only in closed containers.
2. General, Creative Consultation
- Individuals are encouraged to book a creative consultation with the lab supervisor before booking time on any machine or beginning work in the space.

- All 3D print work requires booking prior to work.
- Individuals seeking to perform 3D printing must first pass through a training session with the Creative Space Supervisor.
