Schedule a meeting with a professional librarian, either in person or online, for 30 to 60 minutes to get personalized help with any research project or assignment.

  • Using AI-powered search tools in research
  • Training on a specific research tool or citation manager
  • Identifying the right journal to publish in
  • Understanding impact metrics (Impact Factor, h-index, CiteScore) and their limitations
  • Recognizing and avoiding predatory journals and conferences
  • Understanding copyright ownership in scholarly publishing

Mini-Credentials

The Instruction & Outreach Unit, in collaboration with the Writing and Communication Center, offers a series of mini-credential training workshops covering topics such as research skills, search strategies, citation, academic writing, communication, academic integrity, and more.
